Biolustre

Hair recovery treatment to the rescue - but how?

Tried & tested

When you move abroad, it’s always hard to find a hairdresser you trust. Walking into Hairworks. however, I felt instantly confident. When I discussed my hair needs, I sensed that the staff not only understood me perfectly, but knew exactly what they were doing.

My hair had been suffering – my once-shiny locks had turned limp and lifeless – so I opted to try one of the Biolustre treatments, a protein-based hair treat that promises to strengthen damaged hair and return it to a
virgin state. Results last for up to 12 weeks, and I was told it would make my hair feel shinier and less flyaway. The treatment also claims to keep straight hair straighter and give curly hair an added bounce.

Wow – is there anything it can’t do?
The product was massaged into my hair and left to dry under a heater until it solidified. It was then washed out and a conditioner was added, which succeeded in making my tresses feel extremely silky.
As I didn’t want to lose the shine radiating off my glossy locks, I opted to buy a special shampoo and conditioner to keep the treatment in tip-top condition for longer.

The shine and bounce didn’t quite last 12 weeks (it was more like four), but it was still worth the mere two hours I spent in the hairdresser’s chair to gain some added lustre. My hair felt instantly soft and more manageable after the treatment. What’s more, I no longer needed to spend hours primping in the morning, or wrestling with a hair straightener. What more could you ask for?
