Harmonising colour massage

We try a holistic therapy at the SpaDunya

This charming spa takes colours seriously. Believing that colour is a form of electromagnetic energy and that they can have an effect on our body, SpaDunya’s signature harmonising colour massage aims to bring about body balance and complete wellbeing. You’ll first have a colour consultation where you choose four colours (out of 14) that stand out to you at the time. According to the therapist, it’s like choosing your outfit for the day – some days you’re attracted to that white skirt, but then the next you’ll feel like wearing red. Therapists here are surprisingly accurate as they are able to tell you how you’re feeling and what you’re going through just by your choices. Oils representing the colours are then used for a full body massage that focuses on pain relief. The masseuse will check to see if there are any ‘blockages’ in your system, so there’s a fair bit of pulling, bending, tugging and kneading. If the movements don’t flow, she’ll be able to identify problems and tell you exactly where it hurts. To get rid of the pain, however, you’ll have to come back for regular treatment sessions.
