New fitness classes and a new spa spot unveiled in Barsha

Those who want more than just a basic pedicure can try a new spot this week. Tips & Toes has opened its Signature Spa in Barsha, offering a variety of reasonably priced treatments, including the signature massage, which combines hot stone and Swedish techniques, and costs Dhs320 (Umm Suqeim Road, 04 341 2020).

Elswehere, hot on the heels of the launch of Zen-Ga, Real Pilates will soon launch Xtend Barre Stick classes. These 55-minute workouts utilise the Pilates stick, attached to the ballet barre to add resistance to your Xtend Barre workout. The class is apparently designed to build up cardio endurance, upper body strength and core stability.

ShuiQi Spa at Atlantis The Palm, is introducing a raft of new treatments this month, including teeth whitening and cleaning. Also on the Palm, Talise Retail Boutique at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray opens its doors, selling high-end spa products, candles, music and gift sets.

In JLT, The Yoga Room will be introducing pre-natal classes for expectant mothers. And as well as monthly full moon yoga sessions, this particular spot also hosts new moon classes. Phew! There’s plenty there to keep you busy in April. Until next time, namaste.
