Acupressure in Dubai

We try the signature massage at Tips & Toes in Dubai

Tried & tested

Halina Myers tries the Signature Massage, a soothing acupressure treatment at the new Tips & Toes.

The promise
A special combination of acupressure point stimulation and hot compress promises to reduce tension and muscle pain and to enhance the system of the body.

Step by step
The décor is extremely relaxing; the amber lighting giving off a warm glow easing me into the mood. The therapist starts massaging pressure points all over my body. Hot trigger stones are then incorporated and, as the aromatic oil is applied, my therapist begins kneading out my aches and pains. After gently stretching my limbs, my therapist finishes up with a soothing head and face massage.

The results
My joints feel well worked and the added head and face massage reduced my stress levels significantly. The next day my shoulders – apparently the area where I hold the most stress – ache from the intense massaging that they evidently needed.

Pros
• The massage was thorough, with all areas being worked.
• The candle-lit atmosphere and friendly staff made it a truly stress-free experience.

Cons
• I felt my lower back could have had a bit more work.
