An ever-growing army of Dubai’s beauty, well-being and health services are going mobile to cater to busy lives and combat hot summers that drive residents indoors. We take a look at a few of the companies offering to help you stay healthy and groomed from the comfort of your own home.

800 Doctor claims to be able to get a fully-licensed medical professional to your doorstep in 60 minutes, with specialists in family medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, general surgery and physiotherapy. For most of the ailments you would walk into your local clinic for, it’s got you covered – areas it doesn’t address include complaints that have arisen as a result of violence, substance abuse and life-threatening emergencies (in the event of which you should call 999).

Dubai’s Chez Toi mobile spa offers a range of services, including waxing and threading, facials, massages and full-body treatments including mud wraps and sugar exfoliation. There’s a minimum charge of Dhs150, but this is less than some competitors.

If you can’t resist the chocolate aisle when left to your own devices, Milk & Honey can deliver healthy and intolerance-friendly products, including raw organic olives, gluten-free, low-carb pasta, sugar-free fresh juices and lactose-free milkshakes.

There are numerous meal-delivery organisations now operating in Dubai, offering calorie-controlled, allergy and intolerance-friendly packages to suit a range of different health and fitness goals, from post-baby weight loss to athletes looking to increase muscle mass. The brand new N.Bar To Go home service sees the region’s first chain of nail bars step out of the salon and into your home. It’s also a great treat for girly gatherings. For the moment, the service is focusing on perfect mani-pedis, but will soon be introducing waxing, massages, facials and blow-dries.

Amira Celon splits her time between Australia, the US and Dubai, offering psychic and life-coaching services to clients in all locations. As well as one-to-one sessions, Amira also works at dinner parties, ladies’ teas and lunches, bachelorette parties, Indian weddings and baby showers.

Kaya Peters will bring ‘fitness yoga’ classes to your home, which combine exercises to promote fat-burning, muscle growth, flexibility, strength and increased body-awareness.
