Get moving for a good cause: Dubai Sports World is hosting a Zumba Marathon on Friday June 21, the proceeds of which will go to The World Food Programme, which aims to fight hunger worldwide (dubaisportsworld.ae). The two-hour event will run from 11am-1pm at Sheikh Saeed Hall 1 at Dubai World Trade Centre. Dhs100 well spent!

If you’re into something a little more quirky, yoga instructor Naseem Kapasi is holding inverted yoga workshops on Friday June 14 at Exhale Dubai’s (04 447 4220) Motor City studio from 10am-12pm. Apart Inversions are said to benefit the lymphatic, endocrine and cardiovascular system, as they switch up the blood flow.

Lastly, Talise Spa (04 366 6810) at Madinat Jumeirah are holding four-week wellness retreats starting Saturday June 15 for Dhs2,990. The package include yoga sessions, scans and colonic hydrotherapy. That’s all for now: until next week, namaste.
