Stay cool in Dubai this summer

Cold therapy treatments and frozen soaps to help combat the heat

This week a new cyrotherapy spa, frozen shower gel and Buffi’s new fitness gig.

Looking for alternative ways to keep cool during summer? A new cryotherapy health spa has just opened its doors to the public in Dubai’s Emirates Towers. Cryo Health (www.cryo-health.com) offers cold therapy treatments, which aim to improve skin tone, aid muscle recovery and promote weight loss. The spa offers various treatments including a range of cryofacials, which promise to reduce inflammation, whole body cryotherapy sessions and local cyrotherapy sessions, which are tailored to fitness enthusiasts and professional athletes.

Meanwhile, prominent, ever-wafting soap and cosmetics company Lush (04 435 6114) has found a unique new Dubai-specific way to market products in its current range during summer. The company is encouraging customers to freeze or chill its hand-made soap bars and shower jellies before use as an ingenious way to cool down while you’re freshening up.

Lastly, Dubai-based designer and former Project Runway contestant Buffi Jashanmal (www.buffijashanmal.com) has retired from her sewing beginnings to take up a fitness gig. She joins FlyWheel Dubai (04 423 2544) as a FlyBarre instructor, which blends dance and light weight training, as well as offering personal training sessions.
