Tested: The Spa at The Address Dubai Marina

Our verdict on The Address Dubai Marina's three-part infinity treatment

Tried & tested

Khalook Al Yassin tests the spa to infinity treatment at The Spa at The Address Dubai Marina.

The promise
A combination of three treatments of 25-minutes each, the Nepalese tea exfoliation scrub promises to remove dead skin, while a back, neck and shoulder massage removes tension in the upper body. Finally a relaxing green tea facial and scalp massage de-stresses.

Step by step
I enter the sauna and shower to prepare for the massage. After lying down on the massage bed I’m scrubbed with the Nepalese tea mixture, which does a good job at removing any dead skin. After washing off the scrub, the therapist begins a high-pressure back massage, concentrating on the area between my shoulder blades and shoulders and using concentrated pressure repeatedly to remove the knots.
After the massage I feel relaxed, which is perfect for me to enjoy the green tea facial and scalp massage. After the application of a face mask, the scalp massage begins, lulling me to sleep. I wake up as the mask is gently being scrubbed off my face.

The Result
After the treatment, I felt like I had just woken up from an endless sleep. The knots in my back were gone and I felt less tension around my neck and shoulders. The skin on my face and body felt noticeably softer too after the scrub.

Pros
• Professional and helpful staff who know your name as you enter.
• Access to a breathtaking view, as you get to visit the infinity pool.

Cons
• I was not told the exfoliating scrub would be very itchy prior to its application.
