Gym deals and yoga retreats revealed by our insider

This week: Ramadan-friendly fitness classes, one month free membership at Fitness 360 and a yoga retreat in Vietnam.

Looking for a constructive way to spend your evenings during Ramadan? Local online booking portal The Curve (www.thecurve-me.com) allows you to search a range of different classes in Dubai, read reviews and book them online. Tapping into the fact that the pace of the city slows down during the Holy Month, the site has introduced some Ramadan-friendly classes such as yoga, martial arts and meditation at more convenient times, such as post-iftar. Plus, you can rate classes after you’ve trialed them to earn loyalty credits to use on the site.

Meanwhile, work-out hub Fitness 360 (fitness360.me) is feeling extra generous this month and has extended its special Ramadan offer for another month. Customers who join the gym during the Holy Month will get one month of free membership. The chain offers group classes in Body Balance, pilates, and hatha yoga among others. Monthly memberships start from Dhs129.

Lastly, Dubai-based wellness company Liv2Lead (04 453 4600) is offering yoga retreats with a charitable cause. From August 28, the company is holding a nine-day yoga retreat to Vietnam for Dhs5,999 excluding flights. Dhs500 per participant will be donated to CNCF, a charity which provides education and medical care to children in Vietnam.
