Jacques La Coupe Salon - tired & tested

A wash and blow-dry at The Address Dubai Marina's in-house salon

Tried & tested

Simone Gannon has a wash and blow-dry at Jacques La Coupe Salon in The Address Dubai Marina.

The promise
A sleek and stylish blow-out by expert stylists in among luxurious surroundings.

Step by step
Upon arrival at the salon, I was swept away into a private treatment room for my wash and blow-dry. Initially, I thought this was great but after a few minutes of having nothing to look at and no atmosphere to take in, I became a little bored. The stylist washed my hair, applied a hair mask and gave me a head massage, frequently checking that the water temperature and pressure was OK. Another stylist did the blow-dry and asked me how I wanted it; wavy, with volume, sleek, etc.

The result
The hair wash and head massage was incredible and very relaxing. I requested a voluminous blow-dry, and after carefully separating my hair and the application of various different products, that’s exactly what I got. In fact, he did such a good job that it last two whole days!

Pros
• The stylists were very friendly and efficient.
• The salon is beautifully decorated with quite a luxurious feel.
• As the salon is situated inside The Address Hotel, free valet parking is provided.

Cons
• The private treatment room is a little soulless.
