A deep relaxing massage with motions inspired by the movement of the waves in the Pacific Ocean.
Step by step
I am greeted chirpily by a massage therapist in the spa’s reception area, where she explains the process of the massage to me, and asks if I have any allergies or medical conditions. The treatment room itself is beautifully decorated with pale blue and silver tones creating an ambience of calm and relaxation. My therapist explains that the treatment uses a mango body butter, which is more nourishing to the skin than conventional massage oil. She begins the full-body massage by asking me to take a few deep breaths which help to relax, and she begins to massage my back in time with my breathing.
Using her forearms as well as fingers in steady long strokes, she tackles the knots in my back with good pressure and attention.
It definitely delivers on its aim to relax. My skin felt and smelt great and I was so de-stressed I could have floated out of the room.
• The mango butter used for the massage left my skin super soft.
• You have access to the steam room and sauna after the treatment.
• The spa brews its own lemongrass and ginger tea, which is the perfect tonic after a massage.
• On the pricey side to be a regular treatment.
