High-tech skin-cleansing device and a new salt cave in JLT

Never been fond of parting with thousands of dirhams for a facial? Luxe department store Harvey Nichols (04 409 8888) is now stocking a range of high-tech skincare devices, which aim to give similar effects. Foreo’s Luna device uses a range of high and low-frequency T-Sonic waves to pulsate the dermal layer in order to achieve a deeper cleanse and drive out dirt, oil and make-up residue and remove dead skin cells. They come in versions for men and women and are gentle enough to be used in the morning and night.

Meanwhile, JLT residents should make their way to First Salt Room (052 899 8744) in Cluster F to experience the benefits of salt and halo therapy. Contrary to what it would suggest, the Croatian franchise is not the first salt cave in Dubai (Salt Cave Spa in Wafi already took that title), but they do claim to offer more privacy, with only three adults per cave. Salt is a natural anti-inflammatory agent and is known to assist respiratory diseases and skin issues.

Lastly, Dubai Herbal & Treatment Centre (04 335 1200) is running an abdominal treatment promotion with its nutrition coach Lily Mueller over eight days in March. Ideal for those looking to lose weight or with bloating and other abdominal issues, the promotion includes a consultation and an assessment.
