Free nutrition advice for women

Fitness First offer expert tips and a boutique gym in Dubai

This week: we get educated on nutrition, check out classes at a boutique studio and unearth new bridal grooming deals.

Lady members of Fitness First (800 348 6377) in Dubai will now be able to combine a gym session with advice on what to eat. The workout bigwig has introduced new nutritional consultation services at its ladies only clubs, which aim to educate on the importance of eating healthy for your body type. Nutritionist and dietician Banin Shaine will lead 45-minute one-one-one sessions, including a body analysis, planned diet, food record and take-home advice.

Meanwhile, those not keen on the monotony of the gym can get fit via non-conventional methods at new boutique dance and yoga studio Sweatshop (www.sweatshop-studios.com) in JLT. The venue offers Moksha hot yoga, pole fit, booty barre and Zumba. A spin-off of Bikram yoga, Moksha is a cardiovascular practice that focuses on the upper body and aids in flushing out the lymphatic system, clearing your skin and your mind at the same time. Lastly, wash and blow-dry hair salon Jetset (04 399 5005) is now offering hair and make-up packages for brides-to-be.

The rather heftily priced package (Dhs2,800) includes hair and make-up and covers looks from the romantic to bohemian and classic bride. It’s not cheap, but it’s a good bet you’ll walk away looking unbelievably expensive.
