Blow dry salon in Dubai

Entrusts tresses to the stylists at Motor City salon BdB BloDryBar

Hayley Skirka entrusts her tresses to the stylists at swish new Motor City blow-dry salon BdB BloDryBar.

The promise
The concept here is simple, this salon concentrates on being the best at offering fabulous blow-dries. You can opt for a classic ‘Red Carpet’ style, or try lots of curls and bounce with their ‘On the Rocks’ or simply go sleek and straight with the ‘Executive Sweet’. With one price no matter which style you choose or how long your hair is, they offer fuss-free pampering in a stylish, uncluttered space.

Step by step
This little spot is gorgeously girly with a hint of Parisian chic. Stylists begin by showing clients the book where they can swipe through each of the styles on offer. They offer suggestions based on the hair length and texture before escorting you to the washing area. After shampooing, a ‘hair shot’ is applied, designed to rehydrate dry tresses, then a head massage is performed before the hair is rinsed with mineral water. As the stylist gets to work on the blow-dry, clients can sip refreshments and flick through magazines.

The result
We were extremely happy with the loose curls, hint of volume and smooth finish and left feeling happy and confident without the urge to go home and alter the style slightly before heading out.

Pros
• One price for all hair lengths and styles.
• The stylists are professional and friendly and work fast but without things feeling rushed.
• The salon is attractive – think monochromatic Marilyn Monroe prints, elegant armchairs and girly movies on repeat.

Cons
• Not really a con but the trickiest part of a BdB experience is finding the place. Tucked away on the first floor of Motor City’s Apex Atrium, it’s certainly a well-hidden gem but one worth discovering.

4/5
