A new holistic centre and a celebrity hair stylist in Dubai

This week we get excited about a new holistic centre and reveal where you can get your hair done by a stylist to the stars.

Want to try something new this week? We highly recommend checking out Life ’n One on Jumeirah Beach Road (04 343 6676), if you haven’t already. The alternative and holistic health centre offers yoga, Pilates, a café and regular workshops on all manner of spiritual and well-being subjects. Recent events have covered inversion therapy, shamanic discovery, chakras and ThetaHealing. If nothing else, the stunning garden is a peaceful place to relax after a long, stressful week.

Go now!

Harsh water playing havoc with your hair? Seeing a little too much of it wash down the plughole? Try Vivandi’s (www.vivandi.ae) latest product, Toppik, which claims to eliminate the appearance of hair loss, baldness or thinning hair. Your tresses will supposedly be given a thicker look, thanks to an ‘electrostatic energy’ that enables the product’s protein strands to stick to existing (or should that be remaining?) hair. There are nine shades to choose from including black, blonde, grey, auburn and white. The best bit? It’s wind, rain and perspiration-resistant.

Fancy getting tresses like the Duchess of Cambridge or Pippa Middleton? Stylist Mario Charalambous from the Middletons’ salon of choice is coming to Pastels Salon at The Ritz-Carlton Dubai from Tuesday February 24 to Saturday 28. He’ll be taking a limited number of appointments, so book yours now!

Until next week, namaste.
