Eternal Clinic's vitamin C facial review

Eternel Clinic’s vitamin C facial in Dubai promises an overhaul in half an hour

The promise
Eternal Clinic’s Vitamin C Brightening Facial claims to targets superficial pigmentation, sun/brown spots and uneven skin tone while brightening your complexion.

Step by step
We start with a microdermabrasion, consisting of a deep cleansing and exfoliation to help remove dead skin and open up the pores. Afterwards a cream and serum containing 30 percent pure vitamin C extract is applied. Finally, a rejuvenating masque is applied.

The result
Our skin didn’t see the results for a few days – but our beauty consultant had already warned us it wouldn’t. However, by day three, our skin was clearer, more even in complexion and brighter. But if you’re after a soothing or calming facial, this isn’t the one for you. It’s 30 minutes of exfoliating, cleansing, applying and re-applying with only a few moments of relaxation between, though, again, we were warned of this before the treatment began.

Pros
• Maryam, our beauty technician, was very friendly and knowledgeable, and made suggestions on treatments based on our skin type and trouble areas.

Cons
• Rubber gloves were used by the beauty technician that smelled of very strong rubber. It sort of felt like a deflated balloon was being rubbed on our face.
