1 Check ups
Visit the dentist every six months to check your teeth and oral health.
2 After eating
Always allow the saliva to do its natural job of cleaning and protecting tooth enamel after eating. You should brush your teeth half an hour after finishing a meal.
This helps remove plaque from between your teeth, where toothbrushes can’t reach. Use dental floss,
pre-threaded flossers (tiny brushes that reach between the teeth) or water flossers.
Brush twice a day with a soft to medium-bristled toothbrush, which should be replaced every three or four months – or earlier if the bristles are frayed.
Make your own by adding drops of essential oils to saline water (from a pharmacy) and a teaspoon of calcium magnesium powder. Add cinnamon oil (antibacterial), peppermint oil (antiseptic), clove oil (anti-inflammatory) and myrrh oil (soothing and healing).
