Bodyandmind

The promise
The 60-minute massage focuses on pressure points and stretches your limbs with the aim of improving circulation and eliminating stress and fatigue. The 30-minute facial moisturises the skin, cleans the pores and is meant to leave you looking radiant.

Step by step
Starting with the massage, we’re laid face down so the therapist can work her magic on the back, neck and shoulders. It isn’t too strenuous at first, then she climbs onto the table and goes in for the pressure points. With our shoulders usually being very tight, it gets quite painful – then all of a sudden, the pain is gone and she starts stretching our limbs. At first it’s a bit of a surprise, as our legs are hoisted up and around, then our arms. But after a while it makes sense. We are then turned over for the facial. The therapist cleanses and washes our skin with gentle lotions before starting with an extraction to unclog pores. After that’s done, we have one more scrub and we’re off.

The result
The massage, which seemed painful, really did the trick, and the extraction got rid of blemishes and blockages.

Pros
The facial does make a difference. We look cleaner and fresher afterwards (if not ten years younger like the therapist said). There’s no fuss. You’re in, seen to, and out. Great for busy working men, but presumably most fellas would be happy about this.

Cons
Not much was explained to us, and we’re no experts, so most of what happened was a surprise.
