A scrub of apple and cinnamon evokes holiday aromas while detoxing and moisturising your skin. Then a Balinese massage promises to loosen you up and allow you to relax during the busiest period of the year.
Step by step
You lie on a hard table in the spa’s quaint hammam room and the therapist promptly starts scrubbing your back, legs, arms and chest with the apple-cinnamon scrub. The table is rather uncomfortable but soon the smells start wafting across the room and you’re reminded that Christmas is coming. Once suitably polished, you are given some privacy to wash yourself down (which requires a lot of soap) before being whisked off to a new, cosy room where you are given a customised one-hour, full-body aromatherapy massage, using a blend of spiced apple oil and soothing Balinese techniques.
Smooth, soft skin and relaxed muscles and mind.
Haven’t felt this squeaky clean in a while. Easily one of the best and most thorough massages available. The therapist is also particularly knowledgeable about the treatments and the ingredients’ properties.
The cinnamon in the scrub isn’t particularly suited to people with sensitive skin.
