Dreamworks spa review

Time Out Dubai has a Balinese massage with Balinese therapists at Dreamworks spa in Dubai. Find out about spa deals in Dubai for the various locations

The Promise
Improved blood circulation, detox and a reinvigorated body. The variety of scented oils used also makes it the best-smelling remedy for stress, problem skin and other ailments.

Step by step
The reception area and treatment room are clean and welcoming (the men’s changing area though, has dirty towels and sand on the floor). Our therapist greets us warmly, asks which areas are causing us discomfort and listens intently. Our therapist then spends most of the time expertly treating the areas we specified, rather than switching to autopilot and going through the routine, an all-too-regular occurrence (at one spa, we peeked from under the eye-mask to see the therapist staring into the mirror during the massage). By the end, our knots have vanished. We practically bounce out of the front door.

The result
Slight soreness post treatment soon gives way to much more flexible muscles. Two days after this excellent massage, we barely even have to stretch before exercising.

Pros
The Dhs170 ‘early bird’ massage (10am to 2pm) is definitely among Dubai’s best-value spa treatments.

Cons
The JBR branch was let down by its messy changing area.

Dhs170 (10am-2pm).
