Thermo hair cut

Sick of split ends? Try a thermo hair cut and banish bad hair

I fear the hairdressers’ chair. A bad barnet, circa 1995, made me turn my ‘talents’ to home haircutting back in the UK and for the three-years I have lived in Dubai I can count on one hand the amount of times I have dared cross the threshold of a salon. I just can’t face the trauma of asking for a trim and coming out with a razor-cut mullet.

Luckily, I think I have seen the light. Firstly, I have found a stylist who did exactly what I asked them to. Nina at Dessange in the Kempinski Hotel at Mall of the Emirates actually did just trim my hair when I popped along to check out thermo hair cutting. A technique which involves a pair of heated scissors which cut while sealing the ends of your hair and scaring off split ends

Apparently this means that my hair will need cutting less often - bonus. Plus, the ends should look much neater, which they do. All in all, I am a happy customer.

The cut costs a bit more than a normal one at between Dhs400-500 but for anyone who, like me, hates getting their hair chopped it’s a life saver.
