Fancy trying some “underwater yoga”? Now’s your chance.
In celebration of International Day of Yoga (Wednesday June 21), Atlantis The Palm is hosting a special yoga class in front of the tanks within The Lost Chambers Aquarium. So, it’s not really “underwater”, but you will get up close to tropical fish. And the best news? It’s free!
The class takes place in the serene surroundings of the hotel’s aquarium from 7.30am-8.30am tomorrow (Tuesday June 20).
The class includes complimentary access to The Lost Chambers Aquarium until 10am, a yoga mat, towels and a bottle of water. Booking is essential.
The International Day of Yoga was officially formed three years ago. This year there will be events held all over the world, including several in Dubai.
Fitness membership scheme GuavaPass is also hosting an event, which is open to members and non-members.
A class will be held at Yoga House, followed by a Sunset Community Dinner at The Sum of Us, on Wednesday June 21.
The gentle flow yoga class will begin at 5.30pm for an hour and will be followed by a three-course sharing meal at The Sum of Us, with dishes including beetroot hummus, falafel, rice paper rolls with salmon, as well as greens and grains bowls, super salad bows and kimchi bowls.
This event costs Dhs130 to include the class and dinner.
There will also be yoga classes held across the city including in Zabeel Park and Burj Park, both at 8.30pm on Tuesday June 20. Register at www.iyd.ae.
Underwater yoga: Free. Tue Jun 20, 7.30am-8.30am. Atlantis The Palm, Palm Jumeirah (04 426 1432).
