Charity fitness sessions coming to Palm Jumeirah

Get fit and do your bit at box-fit and paddleboarding classes this weekend

If you want to do your bit for charity while getting in a healthy workout, this will be good for your body and mind.

As part of a fund-raising exercise ahead of their excursion to Mount Everest, two Dubai residents are planning a weekend of fun and fitness on the Palm Jumeirah. It’s all in aid of UNHCR (the UN Refugee Agency), which is working to provide humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees, as well as Mission Himalaya Children’s Eco, an initiative aimed at improving the welfare of kids in the region.

On Friday August 18, head over to Al Ittihad Park on the Palm for an early morning box-fit session at 7am, where the only cost will be whatever you wish to donate to the cause.

Expect a high-intensity session, before going for a relaxing paddleboarding session on Saturday August 19 at Oceana Residence on Palm Jumeirah. Head along at 7am for the session, which costs Dhs100 per head to help the cause hit its fundraising targets. There are 25 paddleboards available so it’s first come, first served.
