There’s nothing like a good backbend on the beach and now you can realign to the beats of pumping R&B on the sands of the Palm Jumeirah.
This Saturday (June 30) Core Direction yoga group is linking up with Yoga La Vie for a musically-inspired beach sunset flow that will see a group of yogis take to the sands of Club Vista Mare for a mass practice.
There will be a concert setup on the water’s edge, stage, lights and a DJ on the decks spinning out the best R&B melodies.
The dynamic, heat-building flow will give you a good challenge and promises to be a powerful, energised and invigorating workout.
Entry is free when you book through the Core Direction app and you’ll need to take your own mat for the session, which starts at 6pm with a sunset vinyasa flow, led by Neha Duseja with Simona Stanton and Lara Bogdanovic on stage.
There will then be a beach HIIT concert running from 7.30pm until 8.30pm for the hardcore fitness fanatics, led by Bradford Rahmlow of Barry’s Bootcamp, Nuno Fernandes of Barry’s & Crank Fitness, Jade Palmer of BARE and Nike Ambassador and Core Direction founder Clifford Victor Tindell, with each running the crowd through a 15-minute HIIT workout.
Core Direction founder Clifford Victor Tindell told Time Out Dubai: “I've been in the fitness industry for 17 years, 11 of which I've spent in Dubai.
“I've now launched my Core Direction app which brings the industry together, inspires users to get active and enables the leaders of Dubai to get their employees, customers and brand followers moving.
“The Core Beats event is a series of events aimed at getting the UAE moving in a fun, energetic and exciting way. Events like this are new to Dubai and promise to inspire attendees to be the inspiration.”
The event has a full setup with a live DJ provided by Mais Musica, stage, lights and banging sound system.
