If you’re vegan in Dubai there are now heaps of options when it comes to dining out. And it’s time to make a date in your diary for a one-off vegan brunch in the city.

The event, which is run by Dubai Vegan Days, will take place at Rove Healthcare City on Saturday July 6.

The menu will be from vegan chef Zendy Marsam and will be designed to “celebrate Indonesian heritage”.

Chef Zendy Marsam, who is behind Flavors by Zendy, will be well-known to vegans in the city.

Dishes on the special menu include Zendy’s signature vegan rending. It will be presented in tumpeng style, a traditional plating used for communal feasts in Indonesia to celebrate special events.

For dessert there will be a traditional black rice pudding alongside a refreshing fruit gelato specially crafted by Dubai-based company Vegan Artiserie for the brunch.

And if you fancy limbering up ahead of your meal there’s a free 30-minute pilates class prior to the brunch, led by neuropilates instructor Immie Adshead.

“We’ve brought together local vegan brands to showcase their food and products,” said Ananda Shakespeare, founder of Dubai Vegan Days.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming back vegan bakers Veganlife Bakery, wholefoods retailer Rootz Organics, vegan sweet company Coco Yogo and New Leaf micro greens, as well as others that are yet to be announced.”

The brunch costs just Dhs99 for adults and Dhs49 for kids aged six to 12.
