When the weekend comes, there are few things that Dubai residents enjoy more than heading to a brunch. And at Al Habtoor City, you can take your pick from four weekend brunches with options for every taste, starting on Thursday evening and running through until Friday afternoon – double brunch, anyone?
Thursday night feasts
Start your weekend in style on Thursday by heading to NAMU at the V Hotel Dubai for a swanky Korean BBQ brunch. From 7pm until 11pm, with prices starting from Dhs249 for soft beverages (and Dhs349 for house). For it you’ll get to enjoy a range of dishes from the East Asian country, including beef short rib, lamb rack, salmon teriyaki, grilled prawns, chicken – the menu changes weekly too, so head back regularly to find something new.
Alternatively, at the same time, you can check out the Paris Paris brunch at BQ – French Kitchen & Bar in Habtoor Palace Dubai. Live French music, a truly Franco brasserie ambience and some brilliant French dishes from which to choose, starting from Dhs225 for soft and Dhs325 for house beverages. Enjoy smoked salmon, goat’s cheese salad, soupe à l’oignon, sirloin steak with creamy shallot sauce, or the vegetarian ratatouille (and make sure you save room for the French cheeses).
On Friday, head to one of the top family brunches in the city, where kids under 12 eat for free from October 1 (while it’s Dhs300 for soft and Dhs425 for house beverages). Between 1pm and 4.30pm you can visit 17 live food stations – from steaks, to sushi, pizza, seafood and beyond, including 40 different types of desserts for those with a sweet tooth.
It’s also incredibly family-friendly, with a massive supervised area for the kids, a play pen for the littlest ones, plus face painting, drawing corners, a movie corner and even kids’ cooking classes where they can make their own pizzas.
For the Francophiles
Finally, it’s back to BQ for a noon to 4pm Parisian brunch-meets-white party, where all guests are encouraged to wear blanc at En Blanc Brunch.
Dishes are inspired by the flavours of the French Riviera, so expect plenty of Mediterranean fare. Dishes included burrata, beef carpaccio, salmon, risotto and some pain perdu for dessert. Launching on Friday October 18, the brunch will set you back Dhs350.
So there you have it, a brunch for every palette across the weekend. Where will you begin?
