Celebrate Christmas in Dubai early with this festive extravaganza

Is it ever too early to celebrate the joys of Christmas in Dubai? We don't think so, and it seems like the team at Dubai Hills Golf Club are on board too.

Kicking off on Wednesday (September 16) there will be four-days of Christmas in Dubai fun, with plenty of turkey.

Dubai Hills Golf Club venues are are marking 100 days to Christmas with a Christmas Countdown brunch at Hillhouse Brasserie, the launch of Christmas roasts and turkey takeaways at The Duck Hook and the best kind of Christmas jumpers galore.

Can’t wait to tuck into turkey and sip on mulled grape? On Friday September 18 from 1pm until 4pm, Hillhouse Brasserie will host its Christmas Countdown brunch.

Foodies can expect a family-style Christmas feast, including duck liver pâté with sourdough toast for nibbles, along with roast turkey with stuffing and sausages wrapped in veal bacon, and prime rib beef with gravy and sides of roast potatoes and (our favourite) brussels sprouts.

Of course, there’s Christmas pudding, sticky toffee pudding, chocolate fudge arctic rolls and mince pies for dessert. There will also be seasonal beverages including mulled grape and a gingerbread mixed drink.

Along with live jingles throughout brunch, those dressed in the most festive outfit will win a turkey takeaway for four. Ugly Christmas jumpers, here we come.

Prices start at Dhs195 for soft drinks, and Dhs325 for house beverages. Kids can join for Dhs95, while little ones under four dine for free.

Meanwhile The Duck Hook is offering up a roast turkey special with honey-roasted parsnips, duck fat roasted potatoes, Brussels sprouts, sausages wrapped in veal bacon and braised red cabbage for Dhs135 per person.

Prefer an at-home turkey dinner? The Duck Hook has you covered with its takeaways turkeys from Dhs399 for two. It also has DIY gingerbread house kits, homemade mince pies and yule logs throughout the four days.
