Discover DXB’s Winter Wonderland

Heading to Dubai International Airport in December? Don’t miss this

The seasonal celebrations now start before your vacation as Dubai International (DXB) introduces its first-ever Winter Wonderland, a festive destination for all the family that will get your holiday off to a super start.

Kicking off on Sunday December 10 and running for a whole month at Terminal 3’s Concourse B, expect a huge range of fun and festive activities.

The Emaar Christmas Market takes place around the base of a 12-metre-high Gingerbread Burj Khalifa (really), with treats on sale including build-your-own gingerbread house sets, gingerbread men, snowman lollipops, Christmas puddings, candy canes, Yule logs, chocolate Santas and more. There’s also a giant walk-in snowdome, perfect for a pre-flight snowfall selfie. Passengers can print their picture as a souvenir or share on their social media pages (great for getting Grandma excited about your impending visit).

A festive food cart from Costa Coffee will be serving up special snowflake freakshakes, reindeer cupcakes and more.

Meanwhile, Le Clos’ pop-up store inspired by the Christmas markets of Europe will be selling festive drinks gift packs, and customers can even pre-order on to take advantage of a complimentary bottle-engraving service.

Travellers can also expect a seasonal pop-up bar selling Christmas-inspired burgers, pizzas and beverages including festive mulled grape, and live choral performances.

And watch out for the festive airport buggies spreading seasonal cheer throughout the Concourse.

Perhaps the most exciting for big and little kids, however, is the arrival of a pop-upfrom Dubai’s Bounce trampoline park, with a range of activities including two Slam Dunk trampolines, the Big Bag crashbag, a climbing wall and kids’ parkour courses.

Learn to wall run in a setup Bounce describes as “like a half-pipe made out of trampolines”, take a leap of faith and land yourself in the giant Big Bag, which sits in a five foot-deep pit, then learn to fly through the air and hit a dunk that would make even Michael Jordan gawp in the Slam Dunk area, with full-height rings sitting above runway trampolines, surrounded by padded walls and floor mats. (Y’know, just in case.)
