Dubai Winter Festival returns

Dubai Media City to host Christmas fair’s 2017 edition

Christmas

Dubai Winter Festival will return to Dubai Media City Amphitheatre from Wednesday December 6 to Saturday December 9, bringing with it a whole host of festive fun and attractions.

In addition to the shopping opportunities and hosting a Santa’s Grotto, giant Christmas tree, gingerbread decorating, snow play zone and Christmas pantomime shows, this year’s event has a whole range of new attractions designed to get grown-ups as excited as kids.

The brand-new Party Garden promises a dedicated space for adults, with festive games, competitions, karaoke and a bar serving festive beverages, with activities all free of charge for those holding Party Garden tickets (early bird priced at Dhs100 including four house drinks, a mince pie and a Santa hat).

There’s also a mega pub quiz to compete in, with a (not particularly festive) Dhs500 voucher for Wagamama up for grabs…

As far as Time Out is concerned, however, the highlight of the event looks set to be the all-new Cheese Corner, with demos and workshops run by expert French cheesemonger Francois Robin. There’ll be tips of making the perfect Christmas cheese board, festive recipes starring cheese, cheese-making workshops, cheese pairing and sensorial analysis, plus seasonal cheese-tastings of raclette and fondues throughout the weekend.

That’s us sold.

Early bird from Dhs55. Wed Dec 6-Sat 9. Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, www.dubaiwinterfestival.com.
