ARTE Pink Souk at Times Square Centre
The ARTE souk is inviting visitors to browse handcrafted pink ribbons and badges, pink jewellery and artworks. To mark breast cancer awareness month, ARTE will be donating some of the proceeds to charity.

Feline Friends’ Kitten Ball
The Feline Friends charity ball will raise money for abandoned kittens and cats. The ticket price includes a three-course dinner, selected drinks and DJ entertainment throughout the evening, and the dress code is ‘suits and posh frocks’.

Festival of Food at Mirdif City Centre
Mini masterchefs are urged to head down to Mirdif City Centre throughout October. As part of a month-long food festival, the mall’s chefs will host cooking classes on weekdays between 4pm to 6pm, for children and adults.

Take the K-Lynn Pledge and get a free mammogram
Throughout October, ladies can drop into any K-Lynn lingerie store, have their photo taken or sign a pledge postcard and receive a free mammogram from the Dubai London Clinic. The aim is to promote breast cancer awareness.

Donate your unwanted items to TakeMyJunk
TakeMyJunk collects unwanted household items, from furniture to clothing. The organisation then sells or distributes these items at a low cost to those in need. Proceeds from the sales are used to provide meals, medical care and basic help for labourers and needy individuals across the UAE. Pick-up available.

Pink Pug Friday
On October 21, pugs and their owners are invited to join the Pink Pug Friday playdate dressed in pink.

24 Hours of Sewing initiative
On October 21 and 22, Craft Land is teaming up with local breast cancer support group Breast Friends to organise a production line of volunteers that will sew speciality cushions and bags to help breast cancer patients recover from surgery. The products will then be distributed as part of a care pack to medical networks within the UAE. Email or sign up at the store.
