Paddle for the Battle
Head down for breakfast and a paddle on a dragon boat to help Breast Friends cancer support group.

On October 20 and 27, the Pink Caravan will stop at Wild Wadi Ladies’ Night to provide free breast screenings.

24 Hours of Sewing initiative
Craft Land is teaming up with local breast cancer support group Breast Friends to sew for charity.

Pink Pug Friday
Pugs and their owners are invited to join the Dubai Pug Club playdate dressed in pink. The entry fee will go towards breast cancer research.

Pink Survivor Fashion Show
This charity event will feature breast cancer survivors modelling high-end garments sold at BurJuman.

Walk for your Bones
The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) will be streaming live video from eight official sites on World Osteoporosis Day.

Festival of Food at Mirdif City Centre
Mini masterchefs are urged to head down to Mirdif City Centre throughout October. As part of a month-long food festival, the mall’s chefs will host cooking classes on weekdays between 4pm to 6pm, for children and adults.

LinkedIn seminars
Accredited LinkedIn trainer Mark Williams will be hosting half- and full-day lectures on how professionals and recruiters can make the most of this business networking site.

Take the K-Lynn Pledge and get a free mammogram
Throughout October, ladies can drop into any K-Lynn lingerie store, have their photo taken or sign a pledge postcard and receive a free mammogram from the Dubai London Clinic. The aim is to promote breast cancer awareness.

Give your old clothes to Aid in Motion
This new local licensed charity collects and distributes second-hand clothing to those in need around the emirates.

Donate your unwanted items to TakeMyJunk
TakeMyJunk collects unwanted household items, from furniture to clothing. Proceeds from the sales are used to provide meals, medical care and basic help for labourers and needy individuals across the UAE.

Pink Walkathon
Taking place on October 28, this event is the climax of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Dubai.

St Andrew’s Ball
