Community drumming
Head down to Marina Mall every Thursday to take part in family community drum circles and fire dancing. All ages and abilities are welcome to join, and drums are provided free by the organiser.

Dubai Drama Group’s production of The Wind in the Willows
Dubai Drama Group will be performing this year’s Christmas show, a production of Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows.

Dubai Spelling Bee
To engage students and families in English literacy, educational facility Sylvan Learning and the Arabian Center in Mirdif are hosting a free series of spelling bees. Held on Thursday and Friday evenings throughout December, the session is open to kids from grades three to five. The championship will be held on Thursday December 22.

Take part in the Razer tournament at Ground Zero
Gaming This two-day gaming tournament will see 16 teams of five battle it out in first-person-shooter Counter Strike to win cash and further prizes.

Vastu seminar at the Indian Property Show
Conducted by Pandit Gopal Sharma, this free interactive session will demonstrate how to tailor your surroundings to improve your life, from wealth to happiness. Also on Thursday and Friday.

TakeMyJunk collects unwanted household items, from furniture to clothing. Proceeds from the sales are used to provide meals, medical care and help for labourers and needy individuals across the UAE. Pick-up service is available.
