Keep an eye out for dolphins
Do your bit for the local community by making a note of any dolphin sightings off the coast of Dubai, recording the date, time, location and approximate number of mammals spotted. If you can manage a photo or video, even better. It will all help Dr Ada Natoli, a professor at United Arab Emirates University in her bid to establish a scientific baseline for the local population, and raise public awareness of the species.
Email any findings to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Feast with fellow foodies
After a month off, followed by the Eid break, The Tiffin Club returns this August with an evening dedicated to finding ‘the best’. Instead of being devoted to a particular country’s cuisine, this event’s theme is all about a real dining experience. Participants should submit their vote for the best burger in town, best curry on the block, and best noodles in the city. Join the group to have your say.
Free: attendees pay for their own meals. From 7pm. Location TBC. www.meetup.com/thetiffinclub (no number).
