Camel racing festival with Emirates Photography Club

Desert Cleaning Day

Celebrating Chinese New Year and Lantern Festival
It’s the second gathering of the Dubai China Nights group, to celebrate the end of the Chinese New Year season and the Lantern Festival, which falls on Sunday February 24. You’ll learn about associated customs, as well as trying your hand at eating with chopsticks.

World Food Programme drive for Yemen and Syria
Funds are urgently needed to supply food in Syria, while the humanitarian needs of Yemen have been described as ‘immense’ – the country has the world’s second highest child malnutrition rates and more than ten million people are hungry. Visit the website to make your pledge.

Donations needed urgently by Dubai Centre for Special Needs DCSN’s charity shop in Karama is desperately in need of donations in order to keep funding the operation’s classroom materials, curriculum enrichment programmes and more. Don’t throw away your soft drink cans
Keep hold of all your soft drink cans this week and help Emirates Environmental Group meet its target to recycle as many cans as possible on Thursday February 28. The group encourages members of the community to bring in all their aluminium cans for recycling, to help protect the environment by reducing the amount of waste heading for landfills.
