This industry gala is held annually in aid of Dubai’s Friends of Cancer Patients Society.

Play Cashflow 101
Learn tricks of the trade and develop ‘the cashflow mindset’ as you play this board game. The group gathering will begin with introductions, before gameplay and a follow-up discussion. According to the organiser, the more you play, the more the mindset starts to sink in.

Sketch, walk and see some art
The Dubai Art Fans group get together for an afternoon out. Bring your sketchbook, pencils, camera and sneakers for a tour of some of the galleries in DIFC. There will be an expert on hand to offer insight on various works of art at each gallery.

World Food Programme drive for Yemen and Syria
Funds are urgently needed to supply food in Syria, and the humanitarian needs of Yemen have been described as ‘immense’ – it has the world’s second highest child malnutrition rates and more than ten million people are hungry.

Donations needed urgently by Dubai Centre for Special Needs
DCSN’s charity shop in Karama is desperately in need of donations in order to keep funding the operation’s classroom materials, curriculum enrichment programmes and more. They sell nearly everything except furniture. (04 344 0966).

Spend for charity at Pachanga
The Latin-American eatery hosts another ‘It’s Up to You’ charity event, where guests are invited to enjoy a set menu, and pay whatever they feel the meal was worth at the end, with 15 percent of the night’s proceeds donated to Dubai Autism Center.

Bi-weekly photography get-together

Cultural dinner at SMCCU
Head to Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding to try an Emirati evening meal, now taking place every Tuesday. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about UAE culture from an Emirati host. The centre also runs a cultural brunch every Saturday. Dhs95 per person for dinner, Dhs80 per person for brunch.
