Language Exchange group meetup
Members come together to learn and improve their language skills in a session focusing on situational Arabic.

Seedstars World in Dubai
This event is open to all start-up entrepreneurs with a ‘viable’ idea for a company, with international start-up competition Seedstars World coming to Dubai to locate its next winner. Teams who attend will pitch their idea before a panel of judges, and the winner will go through to the final event in Switzerland, scheduled for February 2014. Attend the Twins Plus Festival 2013
Enjoy a celebration of twins and multiples, featuring competitions, stalls and entertainment.

Be part of a Guinness World Record dance attempt
Dance fans will be gathering at Global Village to attempt the largest Bollywood dance in the world. You will be expected to join the workshop, practise and then finally join in the attempt.

Celebrate the Year of the Snake with The Tiffin Club
This group of food lovers meets a week earlier than usual this month to avoid conflict with Easter. Members will be sampling authentic Chinese cuisine at a restaurant that’s ‘highly recommended’ by a club member. Remember to RSVP your attendance in advance.

Pick up a picnic from BookMunch Café
This new bookshop and café in Jumeirah’s Al Wasl Square now offers picnic baskets filled with enough food for two to three people, a picnic rug and complimentary entry to Safa Park (though the basket and rug must be returned). Orders must be placed 24 hours in advance.

Cultural dinner at SMCCU
Try an Emirati evening meal, now taking place every Tuesday. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about UAE culture from an Emirati host. The centre also runs a cultural brunch every Saturday.
