Donate to UAE Water Aid
Back this Ramadan initiative, which aims to provide clean water for five million people around the world.
To make a donation text ‘water’ to the following numbers: 8025 to donate Dhs25; 8075 to donate Dhs75; 8150 to donate Dhs150; 8250 to donate Dh250; 8500 to donate Dhs500.

Pop up cinema in Al Quoz
Check out independent world cinema at the Third Line Gallery. The final screening is Pather Panchali, a drama about a poor Brahmin family in early years of the century in Bengal. The film is in Bengali with English subtitles.

Share ‘A Touch Of Love’ this Ramadan
Donate unwanted clothes during the Holy Month. Set up by Omo and Comfort, collected items will be distributed by Emirates Red Crescent to refugee camps around the region. Look out for booths in Mirdif City Centre, Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Centre, and Lamcy Plaza. Alternatively, you can call 055 383 8434 to arrange collection from your home.

Support the Dubai Cares 2014 Ramadan campaign
Visit the interactive stand at The Dubai Mall, where you can help to build a classroom through donations. A new brick will be added to the school every time a Dhs50 donation is made.

See Islamic art at The Dubai Mall
Each atrium of the mall will be adorned with cultural artworks during Ramadan. Be sure to take a look at Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej’s Encyclopaedia in the Waterfall Atrium, a sculpture created with stainless steel circles, each designed to provide information on the Holy Month.

Bibliophiles Dubai Book Club
Join this monthly book club to discuss a variety of great novels and socialise with other book lovers. This month’s book is Mort by Terry Pratchett. An excellent choice for sci-fi enthusiasts and literature-lovers. To attend, read the book and RSVP online.
