Fancy some artistic inspiration this January? You’re in luck, as Indian abstract artist Sujata Bajaj will be displaying some of her most recent and esteemed work in Dubai.

Launching on Wednesday January 15 from 7.30pm onwards, La Galerie will exhibit recent canvases and Ganapati sculptures from the artist.

As for the type of artistic creations to expect, Bajaj uses paper, clothing, and string and a brush to create different media, including monotype, etching, wood engraving, sculpture, ceramic, fiberglass, metal and acrylic on canvas.

"There is in my work the influence of French and Indian art. I choose many bright colours that I balance with texture," said Bajaj.

Around the globe, Sujata Bajaj has done many solo exhibitions and took part in a several group exhibitions in India and abroad in France, Norway, the UK, and Los Angeles.

Sujata Bajaj’s works can be found in national and international, private and public collections, which means it’s definitely well worth a visit.

La Galerie is open from 9am to 8pm from Sunday to Wednesday, and until 5pm on Thursday and Saturday, so mark your calendars and head on down. It’s free, after all.
