Dubai's Souk Madinat Jumeirah brings a lengthy list of attractions to check out (right here), and to add to it all, prepare for a year of something artsy.

The popular Arabian bazaar has partnered with Vision Multimedia Projects to bring the Theatre of Digital Art Dubai (ToDA), transforming Madinat Jumeirah’s arts space to a ‘modern stage for digital art’.

Launching in the first quarter of 2020, the new project brings culture, art and science together to create multi-sensory, multimedia immersive exhibitions and art in virtual reality.

What’s more, the Souk Madinat Amphitheatre space is set to host a range of arty family-friendly entertainment throughout the year, boasting community theatre productions, live performances, movie nights, festivals and special ‘calendar-themed’ content.

“Souk Madinat Jumeirah is an iconic destination that continues to connect visitors with a traditional Arabian experience blended with modern glimpse of the past,” said marketing director at Dubai Retail Nicola Walsh.

“It is also a destination that provides a full array of entertainment, and the new Theatre of Digital Art Dubai and Amphitheatre performance space will add to the destination’s rich cultural offering.”

Here’s a first look of the Theatre of Digital Arts.

ToDA Dubai follows the Souk Seven art project, which turned Madinat Jumeirah into a living canvas for seven well-known Emirati artists to feature their ongoing selection of art.

We can’t wait to check this out, but in the meantime, check out all the other wonderful things to do at Madinat Jumeirah with our essential guide right here.
Opening soon. Souk Madinat Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim.
