Now that we’re all stuck inside, you’ve got absolutely no excuse to not start that book you’ve always wanted to read (War and Peace anyone? Ulysses? Or even Les Miserables?).

And thanks to Sharjah Public Libraries, you won’t have to spend a dime doing so as readers from across the globe will be able to access its digital library for free.

There are 160,000 eBooks to choose from, as well as 21,000 scientific studies, millions of academic dissertations and theses, and 30,000 videos in all disciplines.

Plus, books and other resources in the library span more than ten languages, so there’s a good chance you’ll find something perfect for you.

SPL, an affiliate of the Sharjah Book Authority, is giving everyone free access to its digital library from April until June this year.

Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of SBA, said, "As Sharjah marks its year as the UNESCO World Book Capital 2019, this initiative strengthens the emirate’s call for continuous learning, and highlights SPL’s efforts aimed at providing the latest reading and researching options to all those who seek it, across the globe."
