New calligraphy art exhibition unveiled in Deira

Crazy about calligraphy? Well this newly launched exhibition is certainly something to write home about.

Ramadan Nights Arabic calligraphy exhibition features the work of 12 Dubai-based artists at the Grand Excelsior Hotel in Deira.

The free show is running from now until Saturday June 8 and explores themes of compassion, tolerance and peace.

The features talent from around the world, with artists from Greece, Pakistan, Egypt, New Zealand and the UAE showing off their creations, which will be displayed at hotel's Le Café.

'Ramadan Nights' is curated by Zaahirah Muthy, the founder of ZeeArts, an art consultancy and curation firm in Dubai.

If you’re looking for more upcoming art shows in the region, there’s a new solo exhibition that you might want to see too.

Back to Basics is a collection of 40 intricately detailed sketches, scenic landscapes and alluring portraits by Indian artist Sadaqat Pervaiz, and it’s being shown at Dubai’s Gallery 76 at Dubai International Art Centre from Saturday June 22 until Saturday June 29.
