Calling all art aficionados. Dutch artist Willem van Weeghel is showcasing his work at MB&F M.A.D.Gallery in The Dubai Mall (located in the new Fashion Avenue extension) for a limited time only.

The Dutch artist is famed his modern interpretations of kinetic art. Using complex technology, van Weeghel choreographs a dance with objects forming geometric patterns that constantly change at a variety of speeds, methodically created with precision, each work operating in complete silence.

It all starts with an image in his head. “First, I have the idea in my mind and I make a simple drawing – I have a lot of sketchbooks – just to remember the thought or idea. Usually, the good ideas pop back in my mind all the time even after a couple months. If that is the case, I take that idea and try to build or evaluate it,” said van Weeghel.

From now until September 15 you can catch the pop-up exhibition “Dynamic Structures” – a collection of six awe-inspiring pieces – for yourself.

It’s the first time the artist is showcasing his work in the Middle East so it’s without a doubt one not to be missed.
