Kaynouna Festival returns with brand-new artsy theme

The art of chilling can be a hard one to master, but Kaynouna’s latest festival edition will teach you everything you need to know, step-by-step.

Taking place on Friday February 1, the alternative music event is setting up shop once again at The Secret Garden, transforming the venue to the chilliest place in Dubai.

Named “See The Footsteps”, it features a “dream” line-up of international and regional artists performing everything from electronic beats to funky disco tunes.

Featured performers French artist Viken Arman, who is known for fusing ancient melodies with electronic beats to create some rhythmic vibes.

Spanish techno DJ MoM will be delivering tunes influenced by his love of deep house music and the earliest funky-disco beats.

The line-up also includes Cairo DJ (and fire-spinner) Safi, Lebanon DJ Rabih Rizk, beats from DJ Ayash, along with live DJ sets from DAWA Jay Abo, Felix AJ and Imad Atwe.

For those not in the know, Kaynouna is a free-spirited alternative music festival with relaxation areas that have hammocks and cushions as well as mini chakra healing stations scattered throughout.

Follow the Footsteps will also have a few special surprises throughout the night, so expect the unexpected.

Guests can start chilling from 4pm and the event goes on until 3am, which means there's plenty of time to get comfortable on those hammocks.

If you can’t wait to chill out and get down with some funky electronic grooves, you can get your tickets now for Dhs180 right here.

But you'd better be quick, as the first round of tickets have already sold out.

The festival is so chill that it doesn’t even have a dress code, so come wearing what you’re most comfortable in.

The music event is open to everyone aged 21 and over, and students can get a nifty 25 percent discount at the door.

If you can’t get enough DJ sets, partygoers can look forward to Korean DJ Peggy Gou at Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE this weekend (Friday January 25).

For some more artsy vibes, head down to the free Al Qouz Arts Fest, where there will be exhibitions, live music and cinema screenings during the cultural celebration.

Hammocks, here we come.
