Jane Austen improv theatre night announced at Courtyard Playhouse

Any Jane Austen fans in the house? Well we haveth a treat for you – and no, it’s not Mr Darcy (well not Colin Firth, anyway).

Courtyard Playhouse is putting on a Jane Austin night as part of its Monday Night Theatre series – and it’s completely unscripted.

The improvised production, called Jane Austin Offscript, is described as being “more or less” in the style of Jane Austin, and is based on audience suggestions for a suitable title.

The play will kick off on Monday May 27 at 8pm and is free to watch, though contributions are welcome.

If you’re a fan of awkward theatre, Courtyard Playhouse are also putting on an improvisation night on Sunday may 26, where ten titles are chosen by the audience and spontaneously brought to life by the performers.

This one could go either way, we feel…
Free. Mon May 27, 8pm-10pm. Courtyard Playhouse, Al Quoz (050 986 1761).
