Dubai Airports roll out partnership for Dubai World Central rides

Save 25% on Careem taxis to Dubai airport

Travelling is now even cheaper as you can save 25 percent on your taxi fares to Dubai World Central with Careem.

Book yourself a private cab to the airport and use code: FLYDWC.

It’s available for all customers using the app and travelling to DWC, also known as Al Maktoum International Airport.

The partnership was announced between Careem and Dubai Airports, the team responsible for DWC alongside Dubai International Airport, before the runway closes from April 16 and May 30.

This year, DWC will see a 700 percent increase in flights as DXB’s southern runway undergoes refurbishment and carriers switch their services to the hub.

Commenting on the partnership, EVP commercial at Dubai Airports, Eugene Barry said: “We are delighted to partner with Careem and to have this discount available to our customers for an extended period.

“DWC is an evolving airport offering both residents and visitors fast and convenient access to a growing choice of destinations and is definitely worth considering.”

Although DXB will be reduced to just one runway, passenger flights will only be down 32 per cent thanks to an increased schedule that will see the northern runway used to 96 percent of its capacity.

Airlines are also set to use larger aircraft on some routes to keep passengers numbers up – representing a decrease of only 26 percent in seat numbers.

Dubai Airports revealed it will only see a reduction of ten percent in flights and 11 percent in seats.

Airlines that will operate from DWC include flydubai, Wizz Air, Aeroflot, Condor, Air India, Air India Express, Indigo, SpiceJet, Gulf Air, Royal Jordanian, Himalaya Airlines, Ukraine International Airlines, Nepal Airlines, Kuwait Airways, Salam Air, Mahan Air, flynas, and Azur Air.

Dubai Airports will operate an express bus service between DXB and DWC every 30 minutes departing from DXB Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
