Asian Street Kitchen reveals classic ’80s machines

A brand-new street food hub in Dubai International Airport is bringing the ’80s back stronger than a Stranger Things box set binge.

New arrival Asian Street Kitchen has harked back to times when arcade machines ruled and introduced free-to-play games including Donkey Kong and PAC-MAN.

They’re two of the greatest icons from the decade and remain firm favourites to this day.

Help Super Mario (previously known as Jumpman in the original version) rescue the damsel in distress who's been kidnapped by Kong.

Or, help the big yellow PAC-MAN gobble up little yellow dots while trying to avoid three ghosts.

You can find both machines in ASK, alongside the four food and drink stalls serving dishes from the Far East.

Plus, there’s hand-painted street art to check out, a rotating roster of live art, music and photography performances and more.

And, when the digital world becomes a little too much, shake off the fuzz with a game of basketball on a trampoline.

Yes, DXB has its very own BOUNCE zone where kids, big and small, can jump, flip, dunk and fly from big trampolines onto even bigger mats.

It’s the silly season and it’s time to level up your summer at DXB.
