Asian Street Kitchen

A funky restaurant featuring four street food and drinks stalls, serving breakfasts, lunches and mains, plus desserts, kids’ bites and refreshing drinks. Double Fried Chicken serves up the ultimate Seoul food with Korean fried crispy chicken drumsticks, baos and buns. Find oodles of noodles and rice dishes at Noodles & Rice, or steaming bowls of Japanese ramen, Vietnamese pho, Malaysian laksa and dumplings at Ramen & Dumplings.

Bottega

DXB isn’t short of stellar restaurants, cafés and bars, and at the end of 2019 Italian restaurant and bar Bottega joined the list. From a family renowned for its production of Italian bubbly, the restaurant promises a whole range of eats and more than 20 different drinks using Bottega produce. Dishes include creamy risotto balls filled with spinach, ricotta and provola cheese, deep-fried crumbed green olives stuffed with mozzarella, and fresh sourdough topped with sweet cherry tomatoes, garlic and basil.

Cho Gao

An Asian restaurant with a large central island bar, serving dishes including dim sum, noodle soups, sushi and mains such as Mongolian beef, Thai curries and kung pao chicken. Breakfast is also available, typically from 5am to 10am, featuring options included congee, Thai yum khai dao (fried egg salad), pastries and an American-style cooked breakfast.

Comptoir Libanais

A relative newcomer to DXB, the British chain of Lebanese-inspired restaurants is a familiar sight in Gatwick and Heathrow airports, but its Concourse A arrival marks the first in the region by which its menu is inspired. Expect colourful, kitsch interiors from the restaurant, and menu of familiar plates such as shish taouk and mixed grills, salads and dips.

A trendy coffee shop using a variety of brewing methods, including syphon, Chemex, Aeropress and cold drip. Light bites are also available, including tiramisu waffle with single origin espresso, and pumpkin and dukkah sourdough toast.

Flour + Stone

Take your pick of flatbreads from around the world, topped with all manner of ingredients. This grab-and-go (or quick perch) spot serves up satisfying slices, manakish and an array of packaged snacks that can be picked up from the chiller, plus hot and cold drinks and fresh fruit.

Jack’s Bar & Grill

An American bar themed around the renowned Tennessee beverage, expect drinks on tap, themed mixology, a menu crammed with wings, burgers and the like, and sport beamed from a couple of TV screens dotted around the place. The bar also serves breakfast all day – handy if you’re connecting and can’t for the life of you remember which time zone you’re in. (Well, that’s our excuse and we’re sticking to it.)

Jones the Grocer

This Aussie chain is well-known on Dubai’s food scene – its move into the airport has seen it bring a range of sandwiches, salads, soups and mighty mains into the concourse. Grab a table and relax or pick something up for the plane journey.

McDonald’s

One that needs no introduction, for the most part. Global McFans can try menu items they might not have at home, including the McArabia flatbread wrap, Spicy McChicken burger (McDonald’s’ biggest seller in the UAE) and the Chicken Mac (aka a chicken version of the Big Mac).

Shake Shack

New York chain with a casual spot in a corner of the concourse, just behind Cho Gao. Expect the usual assortment of burgers, hot dogs, shakes and frozen custard.
