Taqado Mexican Kitchen

The UAE-born Mexican fast-casual chain, beloved for its build-your-own burritos, is an infinitely reliable pick for a quick bite. Prices aren’t as keen as nearby fast food chains, but the produce is fresh and the flavours are big. (And the large burritos, even bigger.) Vegans and veggies are also well catered-to here.

The Draft House

A self-described sports bar and canteen, this bar in Concourse D, Terminal 1, has a distinctly American vibe. There are few seats without a direct eye-line to multiple TV screens, all showing a range of sport from around the world. In addition to all-day breakfasts and burgers, the menu also features barbecue baby back ribs, bangers and mash, fish and chips and shareable plates of nachos and wings.

The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck

From the eponymous Austrian-American chef, The Kitchen is a slightly swisher place to grab a meal. There’s a fairly broad menu to choose from (pastas, wraps, steaks, burgers) but here, the pizzas are categorically where it’s at. There’s even a breakfast version that’ll help you justify that 7am slice.

The Noodle House

A well-known chain of pan-Asian eateries regionally, in DXB’s Concourse D, The Noodle House also has a dedicated bar area. The menu criss-crosses the continent, with Japanese ramen, Indonesian satay, Thai curries and much more. Keep an eye out for offers if you stop by.
