Dubai's 3D and 4D cinemas are now open, as Dubai gradually eases restrictions.
Each cinema will follow all the precautionary measures, social distancing rules and hygiene and sanitisation guidelines set in place when regular experiences opened in May (for more on that, click here).
For 3D and 4D cinemas, new rules on reopening include only using disposable 3D glasses, along with the reduction of effects used in 4D cinemas, regarding to smoke and water sprays.
This includes VOX Cinemas branches including Mall of the Emirates, Reel Cinemas branches including at The Dubai Mall and Novo Cinemas branches including at Dubai Festival City.
Temperature checks will be compulsory for everyone entering – staff and cinemagoers – and social distancing and safety measures must be in place.
Inside the cinema room, horizontal and vertical social distancing is to be applied by allocating two seats per customer and to leave two seats empty in each row “horizontally, aisles to be considered as two empty seats”, and to keep every alternate row empty “vertically”.
