Aliens In The Attic DVD review

Ashley Tisdale and her brother Carter Jenkins save the world

Dir John Schultz US (G)

It’s up to a little-miss-perfect teen (Ashley Tisdale), her nerdy little brother (Carter Jenkins) and their cousins to save the world from an alien invasion in this tweeny caper. Credit to John Schultz’s fantasy-comedy for making its young heroes realistically techno-savvy, and for knowing its demographic: the high gross-out factor, nauseatingly fast action and loads of slapstick will appeal to the Nickelodeon set. Jenkins is a bit too McDreamy to play the geeky underdog, however, making adult viewers nostalgic for the chubby, buck-toothed and truly dorky cast of The Goonies.
